Hello,
We wanted to inform you of an upcoming training opportunity sponsored by Hawk Ventures and hosted by Western Piedmont Community Collge in (Burke County) Morganton, North Carolina later this month.  The brochure is attached.  Students will earn up 17 hours of EMS continuing education credit. 

This year's theme will be mountain rescue, and in this context students will receive intensive training in converting traditional EMS skills into a wilderness, vertical or suspended patient environment.

Although by necessity this training will include elements of technical rescue, the emphasis throughout will be on delivering medical care, and skills that will benefit the healthcare provider on an austere or technical rescue team.
