Course Title: ICS-300- ICS 400: Intermediate/Advanced Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents

Course Description:
This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses and ICS 300.
Course Objectives:

Describe how the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System (ICS).
Implement the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.
Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.

Prerequisites:
Students will need to complete the most recent versions of the following courses:
IS0100.c, Introduction to the Incident Command System,
IS0200.b, Incident Command System for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents;
IS0700.b, National Incident Management System, An Introduction; and
IS0800.c, National Response Framework, An Introduction

Recommended: Experience using concepts and principles from ICS 100 and ICS 200 in a response or exercise

Target Audience: Personnel who may be involved in operations at an Emergency Operations Center and/or in incidents where Incident Command may be established
