AOA Project -- Overdose Kits
By now you should have received, or will be receiving soon, a shipment from Bound Tree Medical containing overdose kits.

These kits were purchased through the Alabama Opioid Assistance (AOA) Project for all licensed EMS providers in the State of Alabama and may be utilized immediately.

The overdose kits contain 2 pre-filled doses of Naloxone, as well as, 2 mucosal atomizer devices and exam gloves. The contents of these kits may be used to satisfy the minimum equipment requirements for the unit. Approximately 2 kits per vehicle listed in the web management system were distributed to each agency and more information will be coming soon about how to reorder the kits once they are used.

Please do not send any order requests to the Office of EMS as these orders will be placed online directly from Bound Tree Medical. Please track where the naloxone is used by your agency (PCR number) as this information will be required for reordering in the future.  (See below for re-ordering info)

Thank you for all you do for EMS in Alabama and we hope that these new kits will benefit your service and the communities you serve.
